Am I Going to Make it? Self Doubts & Working Hard
I often wonder if I’m going to make it in this endeavor… I’ve got to start bringing in money before the end of April, and I have to start making at least $1500 per month by the summer time - July, I think. This is tough! I have two sites that I have to update, because I had some problems with the internet hosts. That sucks! My incorporation site is down - well, partially, so I have to get the actual buy pages back up, since they got lost. And I still haven’t got my budgeting product site up! Bleah…. It takes a lot more time and effort than I originally bargained for. Don’t believe the hype of working for 4 hours a week and being able to bring home $50,000 per year. It’s not true! The reality is much harsher.
I have a lot of different tools I use for organization, including a couple of spreadsheets. This means that my time is more efficient. I have a daily task list, and even mark it out to the nearest ten minutes. It’s amazing how much time everything takes! At least I got my newsletter form up on this site (sign up! sign up!). I spend more than four hours per week on this, writing articles, figuring out how to do specific tasks that I need to in order to get attention to my products and affiliate products, and so forth. This week I write four article - not a lot, I know. Each article takes me at least 30 minutes, including posting. I’m a professional writer, so I’m pretty fast and efficient at getting these up. There was one article site that wasted my time, since it allowed me to get everything written and ready, then the actual submit button on the site was broken. That sucks! It was a big waste of my time. I will start posting that article on other article submission sites, though. That’s a task for this week. One word of advise that I learned is that you should pick only a few article submission sites and submit to them, rather than using an article submittter that blasts dozens or hundreds of sites. This is because robots look at that as spam… and you really don’t want that!
Well, it’s 06:30, so I gotta get ready for work and wake the kids up…. <sigh>
